Epilogue: Flying, Relaxing, and COMING TO AMERICA LAST WEEEEEEEEEK!!!!

Alrightarino friends this is it the last blog post of all time when it comes to Hong Kong. I might start another blog you never know. Sorry this has taken so long but I have had to get used to American culture again. I think spent like three days just sitting in a Denny's and getting unlimited free refills on my soda. Also, I have just sat in sun and wept because I am not sweating. I'm not guys. It's dry and hot but I'm not dripping like I just got out of the pool! That and I've been working with the ACLU of Utah. Alright guys, here are the last pics of my trip.

The final 5L bottle of water on my Hong Kong excursion. Happy to drink from my tap again.

That's a residential building, it's really tall.

That is a Chinese temple in front of a really large residential building.

Two lions protecting a door. Much more intimidating than my sister's Yorkie door statutes.

The front of the temple in the picture two above.

An altar.

Another altar.

Cool carvings

Even the waterfalls have stairs. Also, MANPURSE!

Ngawaka I found a piece of your homeland.

This is Ringo, he's my buddy. Sadly, I had a ticket to ride to go on a magical mystery tour, to go back to the USSR. This is the man that helped while I was Sgt. Pepper dealing with my lonely hearts club band.

My big papa Monkey near the big Buddha.

Papa Monkey in front of the Buddha

Selfie sans the selfie stick. Could have used it.

Dog costumes. Bat dog.

Ah ha that made me think a swear...I'm a 12 year old.

That is a wonderfully pretty shot.

One of my favorite sights of all time!

I see my mountains again Gandalf, MOUNTAINS!

Day 40: 当在一个明星的愿望 (Google translate says this means when you wish upon a star)

Well ladies and gentlemen today my family and I went to Hong Kong Disneyland. The lines were just fantastic. Seriously we waited for, at the longest, 20 minutes. The experience was fun and if I were to suggest a Hong Kong Disney trip (I would) I say go on a weekday in early June! But to really understand Hong Kong Disney you need pictures.

Look at the happy Disney faces. And one creepy one.

The House of Mouse has taken over the MRT trains.

But dang those Mickey hand holds are cute

This my good friends is the crazies thing I have seen in Hong Kong. That woman is holding a stick, that holds her phone, that takes pictures, selfies to be precise. Yes, she owns a stick to take selifies. It is now known as a selfie stick.

The walkway going into Disneyland.

An awesome fountain that Mickey on a surfboard moved up and down. It looked cool.

Donald and I were angry we weren't at the park yet.

Dim sum restaurant on Main Street USA. Crazy! We didn't eat there.

The Lion King show was awesome.

Even Disneyland has bamboo scaffolding. But don't worry, Chinese bamboo is very strong. Although this stuff felt like fiberglass.

Cute little Easter egg.

Me taking a pic of Dad taking a pic of me. Pic-ception. BWAAAAAAAAMMMMM BWAAAAAAAAMMMMM BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

Dad Megan and Baby in Toy Story Land

You know the difference between him and me? I make 3D "Opera glasses" look good.

Cool fountain and one pretty lady.

It's a Small World selfie. I wish I had the selfie stick for this one.

They're making an attraction all about me. (In case you didn't know. I am Iron Man)

I asked Megan to retake this picture since I shrugged in it. She didn't.

Last shot of Disney.

Two sad faces and a neckroll sleeper. Dang I do not sleep cute.

Poor little guy got all tuckered out by Disney.

Mickey Mouse is multi-lingual.

Days 36-39: Hello boys I'm back!

Well ladies and gentle men I am back. Here is a video for what I think your reactions are.

So do you feel lucky? Because ya should I got a lot of pretty pictures a coming your way!

Day 36: Church and Mui Wo

On the 36th day of my Hong Kong excursion my wife and I went to church. It was fine, for all of the five minutes I stayed awake for. After that we meandered back to our apartment and found ourselves brekkist. After breakfast we traveled to see the Dragon Boat carnival and watch some races, one of which had an American team from Philly in it. Ah, but the hightlight of the day was, as you could imagine if you knew what this place was, Mui Wo. An idyllic little beach community on Lantau Island. Calm, peaceful, and decidedly rural (which for Hong Kong means the residencies top out at 6 stories instead of 50+). Here are some pics of that day.

This is a sign outside of the LDS church in Wan Chai. As we all know Mormons need their reminders to never risk drug driving.

We all have a little bit of the captain in us. Including karate canned fry guy.

This is breakfast. A little sausage in a lot of bread. Mmm delicious

Be like water. Or in my case an idiot who made a face that the wife happened to snag a picture of.

As soon as I saw that statute I said, "I'm high fiving a pig!"

Entrance to the Dragon Boat Carnival is nice. Picture of my wife? Even nicer.

Quite literally the first gas station I have seen in Hong Kong. This is in Mui Wo on Lantau Island, not the same island as Hong Kong proper which is on Hong Kong Island.

Day 37: Nothing but Relaxation

On day 37 the wife and I did literally nothing but go to the beach and then relax. Seriously, that was it. No I am not kidding and yes we both needed it since for 3 days straight we have been on the go. Only one pic worth sharing.

In case you can't read my foot writing that says, "I <heart> (which is a symbol for love) Mego (nickname for my wife) and Baby (we are having a kid)!" (Also, my foot writing is better than my hand writing)

Day 38: Big Buddah

On day 38 we went to the Tian Tan statute of Buddha, other wise known as Big Buddha. This was about a 40 minute bus ride from the Mui Wo pier. That statue was, well, big. Like really big like, huge big. Just look at the pictures to understand the scale of that thing.

That's at the bus terminal. In the background is Big Buddha.

I felt a real connection with Lady Liberty here.

This is a promenade that has the 12 divine generals. Such a cool walk.

At the foot of the Big Buddha

Bottom of the stairs to the Big Buddha (do you get the scale yet?)

No? Well here is the base of the statute.

This is an overlook from the statute and into the adjacent monastery.

Second level of the Buddha.

As close as you can get to the statue. That is the scale.

A view of the many bays on Lantau.

Just this sign at the base of the Buddha.

Beautiful view. Oh look the monastery.

Buddha from far away.

Cows in the village. Odd, but you never know I guess. Still it left me wondering.

Day 39: Back to the City.

Day 39 means we leave Mui Wo and head back to the city. Before that we woke up at 5:40 (as we have almost everyday of the trip I blame the sun) and decided to take a bit of a hike around 7:00AM or so. After the hike we traveled back to the city via ferry, MTR, and walking a ridiculously long time with hundreds of pounds of crap. Come to find out upon making it to the hotel we could have just taken a shuttle from the MTR station closest to the pier. Well live, learn, and show your wife how artful your swears can be when walking for 30 minutes or so while lugging a heavy suitcase behind you. Here are some pics from our hike and what our place looked like.

Feral cattle, well that answers why there were cows in the village. Where's Curt Oda and his feral animal bill when you need a burger.

Silvermine Falls and one dynamite gal.

Pano of Silvermine Falls

Full frontal of Silvermine Falls, I was standing right in the middle of the stream with my phone.

Downstream view from the falls.

Pano of Silvermine Falls.

Me in the stream below Silvermine Falls.

Megan snuck this pic. I didn't know it was here.

Another pic, a better one, of the falls. It was pretty.

One short steep walk later we made it to Silvermine Cave.

Twin selfie of Silvermine Cave. (Hint this cave is not natural and was in fact a mine of no not gold silver, man can't even take a hint.)

Another beautiful view this time from Silvermine Cave.

This is a nice steep hill that I was windmilling down.

Lol. Just kidding. I was safe. It was still ridconkulously steep though.

That's a lot of feral cattle.

Like a lot of them.

Seriously how many of them are there.

Our bed for the past few days.

Kitchen.

Classic Hong Kong shower.

The view. Just look at that view. So awesome!
